About the project
Short film screened outdoors on a big screen as finale to Eden Arts Winter Droving torchlight procession with live narration and singing.
Tarn, a young man from the Fells, tries to distance himself from his home and his heritage as he struggles to come to terms with the death of his shepherd father. It’s time for the droving, but Tarn can’t face leading his family’s flock to Penrith. He sets out on a haphazard adventure to make his own way in the world, but the pull of his family, a new love and his feelings for the place he is hefted to, prove too strong. It takes an adventure away from home for him to realise where he truly belongs.
